WHY BALANCE

Varying the format of your fitness routine daily is a key element to maintaining BALANCE in both mind and body. With a foundation built on the benefits of yoga, we incorporate strength training, cardiovascular training, core stabilization and more to help achieve your goals. These formats are offered each day at various times giving each member the opportunity to diversify their routine, creating variety in your workouts and promoting longevity and quality of life.

MEET THE BALANCE TEAM

I am an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and Certified Epic Coach. As a young adult I focused on my career, traveling and just living life. Once I decided to start a family about 13 years ago, I knew it was time to find some BALANCE; I wanted to be the best mom which meant I had to make time for myself as well. This is when I started my fitness journey. As many do, I started out in the back of the class just hoping to survive. I was lucky enough to have had instructors that motivated the entire class no matter the level or where you were located in the room which inspired me to help others in their fitness journey. I love seeing people succeed, crush their goals, set new ones and find their own BALANCE!

 

My goal is to teach proper form and technique while having FUN. I want each person that walks in the studio to feel welcome and leave feeling successful. I believe that fitness isn’t only physical but about your overall BALANCE in life. It is never too late to work towards being the healthiest you! I am here to help each person get there!

I am a happily married mom of 2, lover of group fitness and avid believer in the benefits of finding BALANCE not only in your fitness journey but in all facets of life. I have been involved in group fitness for over 20 years with extensive experience in Boxing and Kickboxing including some amateur sparring in the ring. I am a 200hr Yoga Instructor, AFAA Certified Personal Trainer, AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor with additional certifications in Rainbow Kids Yoga, Les Mills BODYPUMP and Small Group Personal Training.

   As a result of my professional experience teaching a variety of modalities of fitness across a wide demographic, I know that a diversified formula of fitness is key to finding BALANCE in the mind and body. I have worked with a multitude of fitness levels and physical limitations and while spending many years observing and assisting students make changes, it is with a strong foundation and understanding of the mind/body benefits of yoga that I have been able to help integrate students into BALANCE.

My goal is for our studio to not only be a place to meet your physical fitness goals but a place to feel connected. I want everyone to feel supported by not only me but everyone in the room because we are all in this together!

I am a lover of fitness, wellness and BALANCE in all aspects of life. My fitness career began in 2012 when I got my first fitness certification in Les Mills Bodycombat. I went on to complete my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training, am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and hold certifications in Les Mills Bodyflow, Les Mills Bodypump, I'm also a runner who's had quite a journey coming through debilitating arthritis where it was a challenge just to move to coming back to a pain free life and achieving my goal of running a marathon! Achieving BALANCE is important to me in my life and I love helping people achieve more BALANCE in theirs! I believe in a well rounded fitness routine including cardio, strength training and flexibility. As we age it's important to include these three aspects in our routines. Another passion of mine is Mindfulness and Meditation. I've seen first hand how these practices have made a difference in my life and I love sharing with others. My goal is to help make BALANCE a place where everyone feels seen and welcome. A place where we can all be our authentic selves while we help support and encourage each other on our journeys. I truly believe whatever you put your mind to you can achieve!
